Areas of research interest

In his work to date he has shown interest in Croatian medieval (political, ecclesiastical and cultural) history and auxiliary sciences of history (palaeography, diplomatics, chronology, egdotics, heraldry). In particular, he studies Latin and Croatian Glagoltic, Cyrillic and Latin written culture, the phenomenon of Glagolitism and the history of the Island of Krk.

Popularisation of science

Author of a number of papers in which he promotes sciences of history in a popular, but research-grounded way (cf. e.g. a number of papers in Krčki calendar almanac, Grb i zastava – Glasnik Hrvatskog grboslovnog i zastavoslovnog društva journal, Krčki val and Kvarnerski vez monthlies). He regularly takes part in radio shows concerning culture (Radio O.K., Kras, Island of Krk, Croatian Radio Television (HRT), Z1 TV), and in book and journal promotions. He has been an active public lecture giver (cf. biography). He is a member of many associations: Historical Society of the Island of Krk, Krk; Croatian National Committee of Historical Sciences, Zagreb; Central Croatian Cultural and Publishing Society – Department of History, Zagreb; Society for Croatian History, Zagreb; Society for the Study of Medieval Bosnian History – Stanak. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Humanitarian Foundation “Andrijana Gržetić”, Dobrinj, Island of Krk.
